JANA – Jubail Chemical Industries Company is situated in the Industrial City of Al Jubail, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and produces a range of Epoxy Resins – Liquid, Solution and Solid forms for a variety of applications.
From a modest beginning in 1999, JANA today has the capability of producing 120,000 Metric Tons of Epoxy resin per year. These are produced under the license of Huntsman Advanced Materials (originally obtained from Ciba-Geigy).
JANA markets their epoxy resins under two brand names – Araldite® and Razeen®. The Araldite® brand is over 50 years old and very well-known globally. Araldite® resins are produced and sold across all of the territories covered by the licence in the Middle East and Africa. JANA also sells under its own registered brand name, Razeen®. Currently, products manufactured and supplied to customers as Razeen® are available globally. The Araldite® range of products in many cases offer direct countertypes to the Razeen® grades but due to license restrictions are only available in selected countries in Africa and the Middle East.
Razeen® has the same quality like Araldite® and is manufactured under the license of Huntsman.
JANA added 60,000 metric tons capacity to its existing plant giving a capacity of 120,000 metric tons with growth plans in place to take this to 240,000 by 2017
JANA is now realizing the vision of its promoters to backward integrate its operations and are forging ahead with plans for a new plant to increase the manufacturing of Epichlorohydrin, a key raw material for making epoxy resins by an additional 90,000 tonnes.
The epoxy resins are used in practically every major industry such as Aircraft and aerospace, Automotive, Chemical, Electrical, Electronic, Food and Beverage, Light Engineering, Leisure, Marine, Composites, Flooring, Construction and Heavy Engineering.
